Creating A Brush On MSPaint

Hint: Downloading shrinks it to fit on your window, while hitting F11 will allow you to view the whole thing. Sorry it's so tall my screen resolution may not match up with yours.


This is showing how I created certain images using only MS Paint to create my own "brushes"

The first thing I did you'd notice was .. Well I cleared the canvas from my first failed experiment with my screen recorder.
(CamStudio)

After that I drew a line with the brush tool
And erased some of the pixels away with a white airbrush.
(If you notice, the size selected doesn't appear on the sidebar, this is because I used CTRL + (on the numberpad) in order to increase the size of it in an earlier experiment.)

This is what your "brush" is.
Now for the part you're probably wondering "How on earth did she do that?"
Well!

The secret is SHIFT and CTRL while dragging the mouse.

holding SHIFT while dragging the mouse allows you to paint with the shape you just created.

Holding CTRL allows you to sort of stamp it, it will be stamped whenever you let go of the cursor, but keep holding CTRL!

I also inverted my selection a few times. When you do that you have to change the background color so that your transparency selector functions properly. (The background color is what color pixels will be transparent)

The place where I was trying to flip it, my computer was lagging very badly and people kept IMing me while trying to do this and I wasn't about to have their screennames appear on my screen (The recording was cropped to the window you see)
Anyway I was having a very hard time just flipping the dang thing and you can see me let out frustration by clicking pointless spaces and wriggling the cursor around xD
