I am planning on selling scenery concepts, things that may have a unique theme or subject (such as a space ship crash site, a castle made of crystal in a forest of weird fungi-like trees, stuff like that)
I may also include some super basic realistic scenery with SOME form of unique twist like a particular rock formation or something, but I don't think anyone sells "scenery adopts"
I've seen weapon adopts, fantasy mounts, and outfits for your character, but not scenery assets!

Need examples?

(Actual adopts will be bigger and have more points of interest, these were quick warm-ups and I spent less than an hour for each)

This one is a little more completed, but still a bit small and the composition needs work.

I realize this is not a market for everyone, but I would be super happy if everyone would comment if you are interested so that I at least have an idea of what to expect!! Also if you could give me input on the price, what sorts of scenery you want to see, etc. That'd be fantastic!!

I would also like input on ideas for how the adopts should be used
I need to know what I am actually selling. Is it just like a character design? Am I selling the rights to use the image? How does concept art work?

The lowest rate I will go for the more quality work is probably going to be $3/300 :points: per hour, which is extremely generous all things considered.
I paint decently fast, and I will subtract experimentation times or times I spend goofing off of course.
And I may adjust the price depending on how I feel about the concept. Like, is it too common? Is the composition okay? Is it engaging or innovative? Stuff like this.
I may post even cheaper scenery assets, but they will be extremely simple and will not have as much information, and won't offer as much inventive landscaping. So something along the lines of the first set of examples in terms of how much information and how basic for super cheap ones.

So if you're interested, please comment!
Don't want to comment? Please pay this poll a visit so I can still get quick input:…

That is all, thank you for reading!!
If you're an adopt account and you wanna signal boost this, I'd love you!

Some disclaimers:
The price is very generous for what I am offering. Freelance concept artists will ideally make $32 per hour for their work, or more if the client is pushing a hard deadline. And total time for the whole process can be 8-15 hours, depending on the artist and how refined the work needs to be.
I am going to try to offer usable scenery assets; things that convey a certain feel for the environment of your story or roleplay group or whatever you plan on using my concepts for, but the quality will be rough, and fast, and unrefined.
If you want top quality work, you're going to have to go hire a professional, and pay professional prices.
I am not a professional. I am a novice painter. I am just offering "scenery adoptables" and not incredible concept art for ridiculously cheap.
That being said, I will not go any lower than what I have proposed. Scenery is very exhausting in both time and critical thinking, and the planning process is a lot more intensive than for character designs.
